LITTLE ATLAS Releases “Automatic Day” on 10T Records
Little Atlas returns from a 5-year absence with their brand new, full-length CD release, “Automatic Day.” Featuring 10 tracks, “Automatic Day” will be released by 10T Records on June 3, 2013, with an official brick and mortar retail street date of July 18.
“Automatic Day” is easily the band’s most mature and significant work to date. All of the signature elements of the Little Atlas sound are firmly in place, yet tempered with a darker, more cinematic foundation, stronger production, and an overall more aggressive approach that takes their already unique sound into adventurous and uncharted new territory.
The songs on “Automatic Day” soar with a dynamic display of emotion, introspective lyrical insight, and soaring melodic hooks. From ethereal soundscapes to unexpected angular twists, from pastoral calm to caustic bursts of heavy dissonance, this is a new and evolved Little Atlas that is both unclassifiable and undeniable. 3-time Grammy Award-winner Joe Palmaccio mastered the final mixes of “Automatic Day.”
“We are truly fortunate to be able to continue to create music together, ten years after our first release,” says lead vocalist and keyboardist Steve Katsikas. “I don’t believe the band has ever played with such confidence, such cohesion, and with such focus. We created exactly the album we wanted to create.”
“This album represents tremendous growth,” echoes Little Atlas guitarist Roy Strattman. “It’s as if the chemistry of the band has become much stronger during our five-year stretch between albums. “Automatic Day” is somehow more than the sum of its parts – the product of a group effort that transcends each individual’s contributions. It is also our best sounding album: warm, detailed, and sonically thick.”

ELDORADO ON THE ROAD WITH “PARANORMAL TOUR”
Rapidly rising new classic hard rock band Eldorado’s ‘Antigravity Sound Machine’ album, is a simply stunning, groove laden, musical delight. Inspired by a mutual love of the raw sound and energy of such 70′s classic rock legends as Bad Company, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, Eldorado began writing their own, glorious, catchy compositions, all topped with outstanding singer Jesus’ killer, gravel tinged, expressive vocals.
Eldorado second album ‘Golden‘ made big waves on the hard rock scene in Spain and set off major ripples in Australia, Canada and the USA, where ‘Golden’ was voted Best Hard Rock / Metal Album Of 2010 (by the public) at the USA Independent Music Awards. Witness to Eldorado’s burgeoning profile and fan base in America is their recently completed 14 date (including 2 festivals) US summer tour. Eldorado’s 2010 single, ‘The House Of The 7 Smokestacks‘, was a finalist in the Australian MusicOz Awards, while another song, ‘Atlantico‘ was a finalist in the International Songwriting Composition (ISC) Rock Composition category. Eldorado were also invited to play at the Canadian Music Week Festival, where they went down a veritable storm.
Once they had written the bare bones of what was to become ‘Antigravity Sound Machine’, Eldorado had to wait six months while Chycki worked on Rush’s 2011 live DVD and then their ‘Clockwork Angels’ studio album. Having honed the new songs down extensively playing them live, the band couldn’t wait to get in to the studio with Richard in March 2012 to record ‘Antigravity Sound Machine’, a sublime, consummate collection of timeless hard rock songs.
‘Antigravity Sound Machine‘ was released in November 2012, receiving a great feedback both from the media and the fans. Classic Rock Uk magazine has chosen one of the songs in the new Eldorado album to included it in a covenant album of the ‘Classic Rock Presents AOR Legends‘ magazine published on December 2012. You will be able to see the band live in Europe in March and April.

3RDegree signs with 10T Records
Charleston, SC – March 14, 2013 (10T Records) – 10T Records is thrilled to announce the signing of 3RDegree to its roster of artists. 3RDegree will release an as yet untitled brand new CD through 10T Records in 2014. Effective immediately, however, the band’s back catalog, including the critically acclaimed newest CD, The Long Division, and its predecessor, Narrow-Caster, are available through the 10T Records’ online store as physical CDs, and in MP3 and M4A download formats. They are also available through 10T’s international distribution network. Two live DVD/Blu-Ray titles are available as well.
3RDegree will begin a Spring Tour on May 11th with a performance at the acclaimed New Jersey Prog House. More dates will follow as they are confirmed. These gigs will introduce new lead guitarist Bryan Zeigler.
Band founder and bassist/backing vocalist Robert James Pashman notes, “Of all the progressive rock labels I’d ever imagined us (3RDegree) having an interest in pairing with, 10T were the ones I always thought I’d call – it was just a matter of when.”
“I was introduced to 3RDegree through a Facebook friendship with the band’s guitarist, Eric Pseja,” says 10T Records president, Steve Carroll. “We ended up trading some music back and forth and after one listen to “The Long Division” I knew we needed to work together. This is exactly the kind of music that Jeff (Hodges of Man on Fire) and I wanted to help bring to eager ears when we started 10T Records. What an amazing album and band!”
Pashman continues, “Since our reformation decision at the end of ’05, I had ventured to have complete control over all aspects of the band – a real “do it yourself” attitude. We kept going DIY until the end of the year, at which time Steve made it clear to me that whenever we were ready with some new material, he would be very interested. I thought, well our latest album has only been out for a few months, so why don’t we give you our latest 2 offerings as well as our 2 DVD/Blu-rays and see what we can do. Personally, I hope to have a bit more time to put toward the music rather than the business.”
While 2013 won’t feature a new 3RDegree studio album, interesting things lie ahead with the band’s first live shows in over 2 years, and a look back at possibly “overlooked” 3RDegree music by year’s end. Details to follow!

About …
FREIA Music is an independent label specialising in the publication of progressive rock and related styles. It focuses on reissuing discontinued and unique material and also on new bands in the progressive genre. In 2012 the label has released five albums, by Phobos Corp, Illumion, Day Six and the Dutch Exposure compilation-album. This all in a luxurious HQ vinyl LP / CD combination. Just before Christmas the label has released the Christmas CD “Snow Stores” by Chris.
The Aurora Project is a six-piece progressive rock / metal band from the Netherlands. The band played at major prog festivals in Europe and toured with bands like Van den Plas, Riverside and Pain of Salvation. With the arrival of their new and third album “Selling The Aggression” reached the band a new musical highlight: 10 years of musical friendship come together in this album and it shows!
New Unicorn Digital release: Inner Odyssey
Inner Odyssey was founded by Vincent Leboeuf Gadreau, the band’s guitarist and main composer, in 2007, while he was still pretty young. He had been composing in a style that was leaning to the progressive genre for a while. At 17 years old. finding musicians to help him carry such a project to an end was no easy task, progressive rock being a music that requires a lot of talent, dedication and technique.
It took almost three years before the band had a complete lineup, formed of young musicians from Québec city, who shared with him a passion as strong and an ambition great enough to lead a band to a professional status. Once their material had matured enough, they began looking for recording opportunities. In 2011, with the help of some fateful encounters, they almost completely self-produced and album of a surprisingly great quality. In yet another fateful twist, it was brought to the attention of Benoit David (Mystery) through one of the members’ uncle, who hooked them up with Unicorn Records, happy to now deliver you a 2012 remastered version of Have a Seat.
Inner Odyssey doesn’t boast a myriad of technical show-off, but rather a delicately constructed flow of songs that form an album as a whole, where music and lyrics intertwine. Influenced by modern prog pillars such as Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater or Riverside, as well as old prog legends like Genesis, Pink Floyd or Yes, they aim at making music that is taken for what it is. Focusing on the feelings and emotions that music allows to be channelled as well as interesting song structures, rather than emphasizing any particular style, they try to let the music flow as it must, following the themes and lyrics to where they mean to be taken, dragging the audience along. The concept behind their first album is to invite the listener to sit down and open their minds to the music, to take part into highly dramatic events through fictional characters, plunging you deeply into the intriguing and strange beauty behind passion and misery, an inner odyssey.

Again not only to support the continuation of the site, but also to celebrate 15 years of getting the job done!
