I don´t know what it is in them Scandinavian waters, but it most be one of the most creative regions on the planet with excellent bands in abundance. Degreed are another example of that, as their second album so aptly proves.
Opening with the instrumental Intro, some might be tempted to think we are going to get some techno ambient stuff thrown at us. But as the opening chords of next track Black Cat make absolutely clear, this is still a hard rocking melodic rock band. With a very good ear for melody and the ability to create songs that fit seamlessly in the genre, yet avoid sounding like something you have heard a million times before. What If is a barnstorming corker and I really dig the arrangement and singing. Inside Of Me has phenomenal playing and a more modern touch to it.
I could go on and on, but this is one you have to hear for yourself! I will keep it short, kudos for the five piece for another winner. Get it.
