Iluvatar – Lit Soul – Docker´s Guild

Ever since the soccer world championship has started, most of the time I had my eyes on the ball, rather than my ears on the music. Still here some news updates from various sources:

10T Records will release “From the Silence,” the brand new studio release by ILUVATAR, on June 10, 2014, with a retail street date of July 15, 2014.  “From the Silence” represents the Baltimore, MD-based band’s first album of all-new material in over a decade! Featuring all of the signature elements that fans expect, this new release proves that Iluvatar have lost none of the epic grandeur that made them a modern prog legend.
Iluvatar first grew to prominence in the progressive rock renaissance of the early nineties, which led to them gaining a worldwide reputation for their dynamic take on melodic symphonic progressive rock.
“This new CD is an attempt to capture emotions and reactions to personal events, as well as embracing the aging process, and all that goes with it,” says bassist Dean Morekas.  “The music is truly a collaborative effort by all members of the band. The music comes from our hearts and we hope to pierce your soul!”

Lit Soul is happy to announce that they have signed a one-year contract with M!ss Crazy Records! The label will be promoting the new album, band merchandise, and live shows. Other bands on the M!ss Crazy label include M!ss Crazy themselves, Stillchyld, Rusting, Trixie, Amsterdam, and  Ham Sandwich.
Lit Soul, a melodic hard rock/metal band that advocates Liberty in the modern age, is really excited about this partnership and is gearing up for their brand new album “Love at War,” CD release party, and upcoming shows. The Los Angeles-based band has been working hard on their upcoming release, which is expected to be their best album to date.
M!ss Crazy Records focuses on hard rock bands and loves Lit Soul’s music and style. With the “Love at War” just around the corner, timing couldn’t be better for the two to unite.

Docker´s Guild just announced that recording of the core band (Fiamma Cardani, Anna Portalupi, Roberta Raschellà and special guest Yasi Hofer) has been postponed to September. This is a good thing, because it also means that now they have a definite start period for the PledgeMusic crowdfunding effort! Which also means the album will be finished by Xmas.
Meanwhile, preproduction is going on with 3 more songs to go. And don’t forget that several guests have already recorded, such as Roxy Petrucci, Elize Ryd and Douglas R. Docker, with Amanda Somerville and Mio Jaeger recording in July.
