Los Angeles startup WorldArts is a new digital platform seeking to disrupt the way musicians connect with fans around the world. Not only does WorldArts present a unique social experience for artists and fans, it’s also the first platform of its kind offering artists an “Opportunities” engine, allowing them to submit for amazing experiences designed to elevate their exposure in ways otherwise unavailable.
One of the first Opportunities came to fruition at the Quantum Collective Southwest Invasion during SXSW in Austin, TX a few weeks back. Three artists, all members of WorldArts who submitted for this specific opportunity, were selected to perform before thousands at the music showcase on March 20 and 21, while having their performances live-streamed on WorldArts. Another opportunity offers an artist the exclusive opportunity to be showcased on The World Famous KROQ’s hit show, Locals Only, in Los Angeles.
Since WorldArts officially debuted in February, the platform has been attracting hundreds of artists from around the globe each week. For fans, this is the new way to discover new music and emerging artists, while directly connecting with amazing musicians and bands. WorldArts also features exclusively streamed concerts and festivals (they’re re-streaming Southwest Invasion on April 3 and 4), and offers a news section featuring original and aggregated content, Q&As, artists profiles, and more.
