Out Now: new The Aurora Project album!
On friday Feb 8, 2013 the third album of The Dutch progressive rock / metal band THE AURORA PROJECT was released on the FREIA Music label. The album, entitled “Selling the Aggression”, is a concept album and describes the change in society seen from 1999 – with the introduction of the Internet – to the formation of the current world order. The album was recorded by the 6-piece band in spring2012 and mixed by Arno Road (Westeinder Studio) and mastered by Darius Helfteren (Amsterdam Mastering).The album is released in a twofold digipak CD, a limited edition vinyl LP HQ and HQ luxury vinyl LP / CD combination. The vinyl edition is limited to 250 pieces so it’s a real collector’s item for the true vinyl enthusiast.
FREIA Music is an independent label specialising in the publication of progressive rock and related styles. It focuses on reissuing discontinued and unique material and also on new bands in the progressive genre. In 2012 the label has released five albums, by Phobos Corp, Illumion, Day Six and the Dutch Exposure compilation-album. This all in a luxurious HQ vinyl LP / CD combination. Just before Christmas the label has released the Christmas CD “Snow Stores” by Chris.
The Aurora Project is a six-piece progressive rock / metal band from the Netherlands. The band played at major prog festivals in Europe and toured with bands like Van den Plas, Riverside and Pain of Salvation. With the arrival of their new and third album “Selling The Aggression” reached the band a new musical highlight: 10 years of musical friendship come together in this album and it shows!
