From even more way down under comes New Zealand musician Royce. In 2022, he dropped this album and people who like good vibes, wrapped in infectious songs with a rock touch, can safely hunt this one down. If you need more reference, think Cheap Trick or a modern day version of The Electric Light Orchestra with more use of guitar. Meaning, The Beatles influences are never that far away. Not saying he has the same depth, but the melodies are definitely there.
So the 11 songs on the album are really enjoyable. Since I did not receive any credits, I am not sure if he did everything himself, but I do think I am hearing additional female vocals. Anyway, have a listen if you like the references above. If the first 2 songs whet your appetite, it’s a safe buy.
